The 2-row automatic potato planter with fertilizer hopper, a 90 cm row spacing is designed for planting potatoes in small to medium-sized farms. Simultaneously with planting, it places the required fertilizer beneath and on both sides of the seed. This machine is mounted using a three-point hitch on the tractor and is suitable for use with tractors of 90 hp or more.
The planting unit of this machine uses a cup-belt mechanism to remove the potatoes from the seed hopper and automatically place them into the furrow created by the machine’s furrow openers. The planting system of this machine is either zigzag or quadruple, with two rows planted on each ridge at a distance of 16 cm. Quad system produce uniform tuber and improve crop quality. This method reduce competition between plants.
